This weekend was a massive weekend for the LSU Football team on the recruiting trail as Early Signing Day is right around the corner. The Tigers got to host several top recruits as they try to keep the Nation's sixth ranked recruiting intact. The biggest priority for LSU has been getting recruits to shut their recruitments down as schools have been calling and pushing for flips.

This week was a massive success for LSU in that aspect as they got a few of their top recruits to publicly declare their recruitments are closed out. The Tigers already got recruits like Kade Phillips, Damien Shanklin, and others to close theirs out and a few joined the group this week.

We start with four-star linebacker Charles Ross one of the fastest players in the class as he shuts down and will sign with LSU this week. Blake Baker was on Charles Ross early and nabbed him before he flew up the recruiting rankings, now Baker will get rewarded for his great evaluation.

Joining Charles Ross in the signing class at Linebacker will be four-star Jaiden Braker. The Georgia Native has been targeted by Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Alabama but, will stick with his commitment and land at LSU.

When LSU lost interior offensive lineman Devin Harper to Ole Miss it made keeping the rest of the offensive line class even more important. The Tigers appear to be doing just that as the top player out of Arkansas Carius Curne will sign with LSU.

Over the past few weeks Texas has tried to get defensive lineman Zion Williams onto campus as they push for a late flip. Williams quickly used his twitter to quiet the rumors and said to only take news on his recruitment from him. He updated everyone on Sunday on his recruitment and its great news for LSU and Bo Davis.

As Vanderbilt has turned up the heat on safety commit CJ Jimcoily there was some concern that he may flip but, he's shutting his recruitment down and signing with LSU.

In this current era of College Football recruiting, you can never be too sure a recruit is coming to campus until pen meets paper but, this is great news for LSU. On Wednesday a majority of the recruits in America and a majority of LSU's commits will sign which will give us a great idea on who may be a flip candidate.
