The offseason chaos between High School recruiting, Signing Day, and the transfer portal has taken a ton away from the fact that LSU still has one more game to play with the Texas Bowl on New Year's Eve against Baylor. The Tigers are back to practicing which LSU Football's Social Media accounts shared.
While it's harmless practice footage, it gives us all an idea of what LSU's starting offensive line may be in 2025. The Tigers lose Will Campbell, Miles Frazier, Garrett Dellinger, and Emery Jones Jr all to the NFL which leaves four starting roles that need to be filled.
The first team offensive line that's protecting Garrett Nussmeier is Tyree Adams at Left Tackle, Paul Mubenga at Left Guard, DJ Chester at Center, Bo Bordelon at Right Guard, and Miles Frazier at Right Tackle.
A few things don't come as a surprise, DJ Chester is at Center as he's been all season, Paul Mubenga is at Left Guard where he played a ton when Garrett Dellinger was out, and Miles Frazier is at right tackle where he started against Southern as he puts tape on film for NFL scouts.
One thing that stands out is Tyree Adams at left tackle as he could fill into the role next season and getting him a full game worth of experience can help the staff with making that decision. The other intriguing piece is that Bo Bordelon is at right guard as he could work his way into LSU's starting group next year.
At some point in the game, we'll likely see Coen Echols and Weston Davis play tackle as Brian Kelly named them both as younger players that they have a ton of confidence in.
It's also good to see that LSU has Trey'Dez Green back at tight end, the staff liked his ability as a wide receiver but, given how much LSU has added at wide receiver, he'll be needed at tight end.
The Texas Bowl will be a great proving ground for the younger players
If the roster in the practice footage matches the one they'll use in the game, then players like Bo Bordelon, Paul Mubenga, and Tyree Adams will get a chance to impress the coaches into potential playing time next season. At safety, LSU is currently looking in the transfer portal for potential players but, DaShawn Spears, Joel Rogers, Austin Ausberry, and Javien Toviano can all prove they should start. The same can be said on the defensive line and at edge rusher as LSU's transfers won't be on the team yet, so the defensive linemen should get their chance to play.
