The 2025-26 LSU women's basketball schedule is here. The Tigers open the new campaign with an exhibition game on Oct. 23 against Mississippi College. After another exhibition against Langston on Oct. 30, LSU starts the regular season with a home tilt against Houston Christian on Nov. 4.

After missing out on the Final Four in each of the last two seasons, Tiger fans are eager to watch their team compete for another championship in 2025-26. There are several games that fans already have circled on their calendars. Let's take a look at some of them.

1. South Carolina (Feb. 14)

The Tigers and Gamecocks have combined to win three national titles in the last four years. South Carolina won it all in 2022 and 2024, with LSU going all the way in 2023. This matchup between Dawn Staley and Kim Mulkey will be attention television, especially since former Gamecock MiLaysia Fulwile transferred from South Carolina to LSU earlier this summer.

Last season, LSU reeled off 20 straight wins to begin the season. That winning streak was snapped on Jan. 24 when South Carolina defeated LSU by a score of 66-56 to give the Tigers their first loss of the season. It was the only meeting of the season between the two schools, which means the Tigers have their eyes set on revenge in the Feb. 14 meeting at the PMAC.

2. Texas (Jan. 11)

Revenge is also at the forefront of LSU's matchups against Texas in 2025-26. The Longhorns defeated the Tigers twice last season. First, Texas won a 65-58 contest in Austin on Feb. 16. Then, Vic Schaefer's squad defeated LSU in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament by a score of 56-49 on March 8. Those 49 points were a season-low for the Tigers.

The Longhorns and Tigers will meet twice in the 2025-26 regular season, with the first meeting slated for Jan. 11 at the Moody Center in Austin. Texas then travels to Baton Rouge on Feb. 5.

3. Kentucky (Jan. 1)

After a pair of exhibition games and a 14-game non-conference slate, LSU begins SEC play with a matchup against Kentucky on Jan. 1. The Tigers won their lone matchup against the Wildcats by a score of 65-58 in Lexington on Feb. 23 of last season.

Since coming to Baton Rouge, Mulkey has led the Tigers to an overall record of 122-20, which is good for a winning percentage of .859. She's led the program to the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons at the helm, winning the national championship in 2023. However, the Tigers have not claimed an SEC regular season or tournament title during Mulkey's tenure. This conference-opening matchup against Kentucky can set the tone for LSU's SEC slate.

4. Duke (Dec. 4)

Perhaps the most intriguing non-conference matchup for the Tigers in 2025-26 is a matchup against Duke in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 4. The Blue Devils finished the 2024-25 campaign with an overall record of 29-8, going 14-4 in ACC play. They then defeated Lehigh, Oregon, and North Carolina to reach the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament, where they fell to South Carolina 54-50.

LSU plays this game on the road at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC. That is a tough draw for the Tigers, as Duke went 15-1 at home last season. LSU won their ACC/SEC Challenge matchup against Stanford last season, prevailing by a score of 94-88 in overtime behind 32 points from Mikaylah Williams.
