This recruiting cycle has been an excellent cycle for Matt McMahon and the LSU Basketball program. The Tigers have landed top recruits in Mazi Mosley and Matt Gilhool while remaining in the mix for several other top 100 recruits.
One of those players is four star guard Jalen Reece who just set his commitment date for Wednesday and has cut his finalists down to three schools including LSU, Providence, and Cincinnati.
NEWS: 4⭐️ Jalen Reece is down to three schools and will commit this Wednesday, October 16th, he tells @On3Recruits.

Providence is the shocking team that made the final three as many believed schools like Dayton and Penn State had a much better chance than the Friars.
This is seemingly a race between LSU and Cincinatti as both schools have strong relationships. Reece is very close with LSU great Antonio Blakeney and looked up to Ben Simmons which makes the hiring of David Patrick a massive deal. Reece also has a close relationship with Bearcats guard Jizzle James which could play a factor on Wednesday.
If Matt McMahon can close this recruitment out it would be another massive pickup for the program. The Tigers would suddenly have one of the best recruiting classes in the Nation while they’d also have a stronger pitch to 5- star big man Chris Cenac.
If Matt McMahon is going to turn the LSU Basketball program around he’ll need to have success bringing in players like Reece and Cenac.
