After losing their first game of the season last week the LSU Lady Tigers saw their ranking in the AP Poll tumble down to the 7th ranking. This week saw LSU face a top 15 opponent in Oklahoma and Mississippi State. The Tigers went 2-0 adding a massive win to their resume with the win over Oklahoma and it was only right that LSU would move up in the AP Poll.

The Week 14 AP Poll Top 25 has the Tigers moving up on spot from 7th to 6th as the Tigers look to work their way back up the standings.

The LSU Tigers slide up one spot with the USC Trojans falling three places who lost by 7 on the road against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

For the Lady Tigers it isn't a massive leap but, the climb is a sign that LSU is right back on track to being a top seed in the NCAA Tournament if they continue to handle business. This season, Kim Mulkey's team has gotten a ton of hate for playing a "Soft Schedule". The Tigers now hold ranked wins over #14 NC State, #15 Oklahoma, #19 Tennessee, and #24 Vanderbilt.

The Lady Tigers still have four massive tests against ranked teams before the SEC Tournament as they'll face #19 Tennessee, #4 Texas, #11 Kentucky, and #23 Alabama in addition to Missouri, Georgia, and Ole Miss.

The Lady Tigers aren't far from moving up in the AP Poll either as UConn is only 15 points ahead of LSU while Texas is 42 points ahead of LSU and the Tigers could single handidly jump Texas with a win later this month.

This week the Lady Tigers face off against Missouri and #19 Tennessee before the next AP Poll which could further bolster LSU's chances of cracking into the Top 5.
