The LSU Football team was in a full blown recruiting push traveling all over the Country visiting top recruiting targets while offering other top recruits. This past weekend, the recruiting push came to a halt after LSU hosted its Boys in the Boot Junior Day recruiting event as the recruiting dead period took effect on February 3rd.
The LSU Tigers recruiting news now will come as recruits start to trim their lists of schools down including LSU or when recruits set their official visits to LSU. The latest good news for LSU rolls in as elite five star recruit Brandon Arrington has cut his list of schools down to 12 including LSU.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Brandon Arrington is the 8th ranked player in the Country, the top athlete in the Class, and the 2nd best player out of California. The LSU Football team jumped into the recruitment of Arrington in Early January when Corey Raymond offered him as a defensive back. The Tigers making the Top 12 despite jumping into Arrington's recruitment so late is a great sign.
Given the fact that Alabama and Oregon got Brandon Arrington onto their campuses for their Junior Days the last two weekends, it would seemingly put those two schools at the top of his list.
The Tigers jumped into the race and if LSU chooses to push for Brandon Arrington they'll have a chance to make up the ground needed. Arrington hasn't visited LSU yet which makes getting him onto campus this Spring one of the top priorities. If we've seen anything in Corey Raymond's first year back in the Bayou, it's that he's a massive appeal to top defensive backs and he was able reel in DJ Pickett and hold onto his commitment despite other teams making a serious push.
Corey Raymond will be LSU's X-Factor in this recruitment and if the Tigers can get Arrington onto campus this Spring, it'll make LSU a serious contender.
