The Top Transfer in the Country names LSU one of his five finalists
The LSU Football team landed one transfer wide receiver on Saturday when Kentucky's Barion Brown officially made the move transferring to LSU. The Tigers still look to add one more wide receiver as they replace a pair of starting wide receivers in Kyren Lacy and CJ Daniels. The Tigers have been linked to several wide receivers, Nic Anderson who will be visiting, Mario Craver who put LSU in his top four, Micah Hudson who LSU hopes to get on a visit next week, and Destyn Hill who played his high school football at Edna Karr.
The latest news on the wide receiver front however, is the best news thus far if LSU is able to capitalize as Georgia Tech Wide Receiver Eric Singleton Jr is down to five schools with LSU among that group.
This season in a run first Georgia Tech offense, Singleton caught 56 passes for 754 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added another 131 yards and a touchdown rushing on 21 carries.
Landing Singleton would be massive as he's On3's Top Ranked transfer and would give Garrett Nussmeier an incredible weapon. Singleton is a vertical threat that can stretch the field and while many are fast, Singleton is track fast running a 10.53 in the 100 for Georgia Tech's track team.
The lone downside in landing Eric Singleton is he's sort of a redundant piece with what LSU already has even though he'd still be an incredible addition. LSU already has a ton of smaller wide receivers in Barion Brown, Aaron Anderson, and Zavion Thomas while those players can all stretch the field which Chris Hilton Jr also gives the Tigers.
Singleton has already went on a handful of visits but, hasn't visited LSU so we'll need to see if the Tigers can get him on campus next week.
