This Malik Nabers fact further proves the Giants are ruining his development

The former LSU wide receiver has had it pretty rough in his NFL career in New York.

Malik Nabers had an incredible rookie season, despite the fact that the quarterback play for the New York Giants has been subpar. In his rookie season, Nabers was able to have over 1,200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, and that was with Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito.

Now in the 2025 season, if preseason is counted, Nabers has already played with Jameis Winston, and then in the regular season with Russell Wilson, and now Jaxson Dart, who was just named the new starter for the Giants.

That means that this will be the sixth new quarterback that Nabers will be catching passes from this season. That is a big reason why Naber's development is suffering in the NFL because he hasn't had a chance to create a strong relationship in the game with any of his quarterbacks.

There is a reason there are a lot of great duos in the NFL: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, Tom Brady and Randy Moss, Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin, and many more. There is a reason those duos were so great together, and it was because they built chemistry on the field.

In order to build that chemistry, it takes more than just three or five, or even eight games. Sometimes it can take a whole season until that chemistry is truly there. That also means that development will build as that chemistry does as well. However, Nabers hasn't been able to build both because he has had a revolving door of quarterbacks to work with.

If the Giants want to keep Nabers in New York for the majority, if not all of his career, then they need Dart to work out and not keep changing quarterbacks. Nabers needs to build chemistry with someone, and there is hope in New York that Dart is the one to help build the franchise back up, but that is yet to be seen.
