One of the most exciting things to see when watching your College Football team is massive contributions from Freshmen. True Freshmen shining early on in their careers gives you a ton of hope for the future as its just the start of what could be massive careers. This season, LSU had three freshmen that played a ton for the Tigers and have now made the SEC's All Freshman team in Running Back Caden Durham, Center DJ Chester, and Kicker Aeron Burrell.

Caden Durham kicks off the list as one of the two running backs to make the All Freshman team. Durham was a revelation for the LSU Football team coming in and bringing explosiveness to a running game that was struggling for the past two seasons. Durham wasn't an early enrollee so he'll now have his first full offseason in the program to build upon a freshman season where he rushed for 693 yards and 6 touchdowns while adding another 257 yards and 2 touchdowns receiving.

Center DJ Chester is the selection on the All-Freshman team as the best Center in his Redshirt Freshman season. Chester struggled at times but, its very tough to come into the SEC and to play flawlessly. Chester is now the lone returnee on LSU starting offensive line so he'll quickly need to transition from the newcomer to the veteran in the group.

Finally, Freshman Kicker Aeron Burrell makes the All Freshman team as the Kick Off Specialist. Burrell had a great year and he's received a second accolade for his performance after being named to the All-SEC Second Team. This season was impressive as Burrell recovered from kneecap surgery this offseason and it'll be exciting to see him when he's back to kicking field goals as he has a massive leg.
