The past few months have been unkind to the LSU Football team on the recruiting trail when it comes to landing a quarterback commitment. The woes started before Bryce Underwood decommitted as most of the 2026 quarterbacks considered LSU but, committed elsewhere as Underwood blocked their path to playing time. Bryce Underwood then flipped his commitment to Michigan which made signing a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class only more important.
After losing Bryce Underwood, LSU has kept pushing for quarterbacks Jonas Williams, Dia Bell, and several other player but, haven't been able to land a commitment. The Tigers luck may be starting to change as LSU holds the Nation's top recruiting class including four top wide receivers which only makes LSU more attractive.
Top 5 Quarterback recruit Bowe Bentley names LSU, Oklahoma, and Georgia finalists
The quarterback LSU may have the best chance at landing is Celina, Texas star Bowe Bentley who has named LSU one of his three finalists.

On3 ranks Bowe Bentley as the 47th ranked recruit in the class, the 5th ranked quarterback in the class, and the 4th ranked player out of Texas. Oklahoma already has a quarterback committed in Jaden O'Neal while Georgia is one of the two schools in the race for the Nation's top quarterback Jared Curtis which may make LSU the best option for Bentley.
LSU will also get an official visit from Bowe Bentley and it'll be the final visit of the three which is massive for LSU. The June 20th weekend is becoming LSU's most important recruiting weekend as Bentley will visit alongside five-star Lamar Brown and elite recruits Boobie Feaster, JaReylan McCoy, and Havon Finney.
Bowe Bentley is an intrguing quarterback prospect and one that would make a ton of sense in Joe Sloan's offense. Bentley is a dual threat quarterback which would allow LSU to bring back the RPO's and read options that worked so well for Jayden Daniels. Given that LSU has the Nation's top wide receiver class, LSU will have an incredible pitch to Bentley but, there's still plenty of work to be done.
