November 13th is the Start of Early Signing Day for College Basketball Programs running for a Week through November 20th. While every recruit won't sign Today, LSU is expected to reel in each of their commitments offcially making them future LSU Tigers.
Entering Signing Day, LSU's recruiting class is ranked 14th in the Nation and 5th in the SEC which is another impressive class for Matt McMahon. The Tigers have three top 75 commitments in Power Forward Matt Gilhool, Shooting Guard Mazi Mosley, and Point Guard Jalen Reece.
Matt Gilhool was the first to put pen to paper signing with LSU and Matt McMahon. Gilhool is ranked as the 73rd ranked player in the class, the 12th ranked Power Forward, and the top player in Pennsylvania.
The Tigers are loaded with talented young guards including the two in this current recruiting class so landing a versatile big that can play the five out like LSU would like to is a massive get for Matt McMahon.
The latest commitment to put pen to paper is Guard Mazi Mosley who has officially signed with LSU.
Mosley is the Nation's 64th ranked player overall, the 16th ranked Shooting Guard, and the 14th ranked player out of California. Mosley is the nephew of Magic Johnson and is a walking highlight reel whenever he steps onto the court.
Finally, Jalen Reece closes out the day as LSU got all three committed recruits to sign on the first day of the early signing period.
According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Reece is the 72nd ranked player in the country, the 16th ranked point guard, and the 17th ranked player out of Florida.
A Massive Class for LSU Basketball and Matt McMahon
As Matt McMahon continues to rebuild this program from the state it was in post Will Wade, landing massive recruiting classes year over year is the best way to build out this program. McMahon will sign three elite top end recruits during the Early Signing Period which will bolster this roster going forward. New Orleans Native Chris Cenac remains uncommitted following his LSU visit and adding a five star to this class will only make next years team even more exciting.
