Jay Johnson was able to get First Baseman Jared "Bear" Jones back for another season during the MLB Draft which was a massive win for the LSU Baseball Team. Last season, Jared Jones was incredible at the plate with a .301 batting average while blasting 28 home runs with 59 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Jones will be the biggest source of power in the Tigers lineup and is poised for a monster season.
Anytime you can add a legitimate leadoff batter via the transfer portal it's as big of a get you can land. The Tigers add Daniel Dickinson coming off of a season where he batted .363 with 14 doubles, 2 triples, 18 home runs, 53 RBIs, and 32 stolen bases which is a massive addition as he helps Jay Johnson in reshuffling the infield in addition to what he can bring to the lineup.
It's a bit surprising to see that none of LSU's Pitchers made the list especially Anthony Eyanson who pitched to a 3.07 ERA last season going 6-2 with 85 strikeouts to just 24 walks. The exciting thing is that with so many Underclassmen and new additions, the Tigers could easily end the season with four or five All Americans as this team truy is one of the most talented lineups in the Country.
