As LSU's season opener against Clemson draws nearer, Brian Kelly and his staff continue to build future recruiting classes. LSU doesn't have any 2027 commits yet, but that could change soon.
Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman have logged expert predictions for the LSU Tigers to land 2027 four-star safety Jayden Anding. A junior at Ruston High School, Anding is rated by Rivals as the No. 17 safety in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 9 overall player from Louisiana.

Will Tiger fans see both Anding brothers on campus soon?
Along with LSU, Anding also has offers from several other programs including Arizona State, Arkansas, Miami (FL), North Carolina, Purdue, Tulane, and Vanderbilt.
Anding's older bother, Aidan, signed with LSU this last recruiting cycle. Also a four-star recruit, the elder Anding was rated as the No. 4 player in Louisiana and the No. 19 overall cornerback in the country by 247Sports. He was part of LSU's No. 7-rated 2025 recruiting class, and is set to enter his freshman season in Baton Rouge.
Having a pair of brothers as teammates is nothing new for LSU. The Weeks trio of Whit, Zach, and West are all featured on LSU's 2025 roster. West, a graduate student, and Whit, a junior, have been teammates on the Tigers since the 2023 season when Whit was a true freshman. Zach now joins the party this season as a true freshman, also playing linebacker. Whit's 125 tackles last season ranked second in the SEC. That included 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He figures to be one of the leaders on LSU's defensive unit once again this season.
Rivals expects the brother of another current Tiger to come to Baton Rouge as well. Garrett Nussmeier's younger brother Colton is currently rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 4 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Wiltfong and Spiegelman project Colton to follow in his brothers footsteps by enrolling at LSU. Colton is a junior at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX.
