After star linebacker Whit Weeks was ejected following a controversial targeting call in the first quarter against Florida, another Weeks brother had to leave the game later in the third quarter.
West Weeks, Whit's older brother, went down with a lower body injury after pressuring Florida quarterback DJ Lagway. He remained on the ground for several moments and proceeded into the medical tent. He briefly emerged from the tent with his helmet on, but then had to go back in.
West Weeks injury update
At this point, it doesn't seem that the elder Weeks will return to the game. After emerging from the medical tent a second time, he was seen in tears on the sideline with a towel dangling over his head. Whit came over to console him and the pair spoke for a while on the sidelines.
The ABC broadcast stated that West is dealing with a calf strain. The severity of the injury remains unknown at this time. Now, LSU's linebacker depth is rather thin all of a sudden.
LSU will (seemingly) play the 4th quarter without the team's two starting linebackers.

Whit Weeks (targeting) was ejected on the defense's third snap of the game.
West Weeks (TV broadcast says calf strain) was just shown in tears on the sideline's training table.
West was visibly upset by the injury, but he continued to support his team from the bench. Hopefully a further update will be provided following the game.
The LSU defense continues to shine, but being without two Weeks brothers is not ideal. In their absence, a third Weeks brother, Zach, is seeing playing time for the Tigers. Zach is a true freshman, and reclassified to allow him to play with his brothers in Baton Rouge.
