Two LSU football players named Walter Camp All-Americans
Postseason awards continue to roll in for the LSU football team this week, with a pair of Tigers being named 2015 Walter Camp All-Americans.
The LSU football team may have experienced a disappointing end to the 2015 regular season, but that has not prevented a handful of Tigers from being recognized at both the conference and national level.
This recognition continued on Thursday, as two LSU football players who played an integral part in the team’s elite rushing attack were named Walter Camp All-Americans.
Sophomore running back Leonard Fournette capped of an impressive 2015 campaign with first-team honors. Fournette set the Tigers’ school record for rushing yards, and enters LSU’s Texas Bowl matchup against the Texas Tech Red Raiders leading the nation with 158.3 rushing yards per game.

In addition, he became the first player in SEC history three consecutive 200-yard rushing performances earlier this year, and is just one rushing touchdown away from tying the school’s single-season record, set by LaBrandon Toefield in 2001.
Senior offensive tackle Vadal Alexander was the other member of the LSU football team to be recognized. The four-year starter earned second-team honors after playing more than 700 snaps, recording more than 100 knockdowns and playing a major part in paving the way for Fournette’s record-breaking season.
