Ben Simmons gets a customized pair of Purple and Gold LeBron James kicks
LSU basketball star Ben Simmons posted a picture to social media on Tuesday of his brand-new pair of customized Purple and Gold LeBron James shoes.
LSU freshman sensation Ben Simmons has drawn comparisons to LeBron James with his play on the basketball court this season.
Simmons has wowed opponents, media and fans alike with a dominating post presence, uncanny court vision and selfless tendencies that make the players around him better, just as James does at the NBA level.
Thanks to a new pair of basketball shoes, Simmons will look even more like the Cleveland Cavaliers star when he steps on the hardwood going forward.

The kicks pictured above are LeBron IX’s decked out in LSU Purple and Gold, with “Geaux Tigers” spelled out across the ankle straps.
Simmons has emerged as the top candidate to be selected No. 1 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft, thanks to a tremendous all-around performance for the Tigers this season.
The 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward leads the team with 20.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.3 blocks per game, while shooting an impressive 57.7 percent from the field. He has recorded 12 double-doubles this season, which ranks fifth in the country and first among all freshman.
Simmons and LSU return to the court on Wednesday against Ole Miss, as they attempt to bounce back from a recent loss to Florida.
