Best of the Rest

3) South Carolina

The South Carolina Gamecocks are regarded as one of the top defenses in the conference, presenting a well-rounded defensive front and recording an SEC-best 41.6 rebounds per game.

Their potential on the offensive end is severely underrated as well, evidenced by a 94-point scoring output in a double-digit victory over LSU last week.

What will likely cause South Carolina problems in March is a lack of size. The Gamecocks have just one player above 6-foot-7 averaging more than 14 minutes per game, and although they have mostly been able to overcome this in SEC play, it was one of several areas that hurt them in a 27-point loss to Kentucky last weekend.
