Five LSU football impact sophomores for 2016
Arden Key
Arden Key exploded onto the LSU defensive scene in 2015.
The rangy, 6-foot-6, defensive end made his impact immediately felt in LSU’s (official) first game against Mississippi State, when he harassed Bulldog quarterback Dak Prescott and recorded one sack, two quarterback hurries and one pass-breakup.
Key displayed a never-ending motor, constantly tormenting opposing quarterbacks with unique blend of size, length, speed and athleticism.
The freshman All-American was instrumental in LSU’s defeat of Texas A&M in its regular season finale, recording a career-high eight tackles 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hurries.

Key thrived under the tutelage of first-year defensive line coach Ed Orgeron last season, and will continue to improve under first year defensive coordinator Dave Aranda’s new defensive scheme.
With a little added weight to help shed off pesky offensive linemen, Key could develop into one of the premier pass rushers in the SEC this season.
Quarterback pressure is paramount in football, and Key is primed to lead the Tigers’ pass-rush blitzkrieg in 2016.
