10. Lane Kiffin — Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin’s personality, to this point, is probably a bigger deal than his actual ability as a head coach.

And that’s not to say Kiffin isn’t a good head coach. He was very successful at FAU.

But it’s FAU.

Kiffin has yet to prove he can build a Power-5 program. He bolted from Tennessee after a 7-6 season, and he was left on the tarmac by USC after a dreadful start to the 2013 season.

This will be Kiffin’s third chance as a head coach at a Power-5 program. Has he learned from his past mistakes?

The way he handled the FAU job suggests he has. But now that he’s back in the SEC, he’ll have to prove his “maturity” wasn’t a byproduct of living semi off-the-grid in Boca Raton.
