9. Mark Stoops — Kentucky

I was tempted to put Mark Stoops higher on this list, but that just tells you how deep the SEC coaching talent is in 2020.

Stoops has done a remarkable job at Kentucky. After three straight losing seasons to start his Kentucky career, Stoops has erased the Wildcats’ status as an “automatic win on the schedule”.

Kentucky’s had four straight winning seasons under Stoops, including a 10 win season in 2018.

Stoops would be wise to stick around at Kentucky for the long haul. He’s never going to win a national championship, but he could have a nice long career in Lexington with not a lot of pressure.
