Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin must be sour about not getting the LSU football job that eventually went to Brian Kelly.

There were rumblings near the end of the 2021 season that Kiffin wanted out of Ole Miss for a better job.

Florida, LSU, and Miami were mentioned among the jobs that Kiffin coveted.

Kiffin, however, didn’t receive any interest from those programs, which means he’s stuck at Ole Miss for the time being.

Lane Kiffin makes fun of LSU football head coach Brian Kelly

On Friday night, Kiffin took to Twitter to make fun of Kelly, the new Tigers head coach.

A video of Kelly dancing with a recruit was posted to Twitter (much like the video of Kelly dancing with five-star quarterback Walker Howard back in December).

Kiffin quote-tweeted the video and threw some shade at Kelly.

Kiffin might want to sit this one out.

Kelly is a much more accomplished coach than Kiffin (for example, Kiffin has been fired twice, while Kelly has never been fired).

I know Kiffin likes to have fun on Twitter. But it gets old after a while. Kelly is already proving to be a great recruiter at LSU. And players like Howard — the No. 5 rated quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class — seem to love Kelly.

Sure, the video of Kelly dancing is a little cringeworthy if you just stumble across it on social media. But what you don’t see is recruits having fun and connecting with Kelly.

Ultimately, that’s all that matters.

Kiffin should probably worry more about what he’s got going on at Ole Miss.

After all, the Rebels have a pretty big game coming up on October 22 in Baton Rouge later this year.
