LSU Football: What fans are saying about the Week 3 win over Mississippi State
By John Fye
LSU Football continued their winning ways on Saturday with a 41-14 win over Mississippi State. Here’s what Tigers fans are saying about the game that was.
We asked LSU Football fans on our social media outlets what they thought about the Tigers’ dominant victory over Mississippi State in Starkville. There was no shortage of responses from giddy fans that enjoyed the lopsided game.
“TIGERS STARTING TO HIT THEIR STRIDE TO DOMINATE!!!” -Alfred M.
”A great game. Loved it. This team can be dangerous. A much needed big win” -Christopher C.
”Most complete game they’ve played since 2019!” – Tony W.
”Relaxing and enjoyable.” -Rosemary J.
However, of course, many LSU Football fans walked away from the dominant victory with a ‘yeah, but…’ attitude. In other words, they’re pleased, but not completely satisfied. As the comments indicate, some Tigers fans are stuck in hindsight while others can’t stop looking ahead.
“This was the team we expected to see in Week 1. Would not mind scheduling Week 0 games before big out of conference games from now on. Lol” -Justin T.
”Very impressive! Better than I thought it would be, but this isn’t the game that I was worried about winning. I want Alabama at their house in November by 3 TD’s!” -Marcus B.
“Wish we could have a do over with FSU” -Anthony A.
Finally, we must talk about the LSU Football fans that are happy with the win, but not completely. We’re talking about the fans that need to more of less of certain players, schemes, or plays.
“Defense need to keep #4 on the edge, and DB’s have to step up. Offense needs to learn to run block. JD5 needs not to be a bird. And stay on the ground!!!” -Hartman H.
”I’d like to see Diggs get a few more touches…” -Mark C.
“Liked everything, except Daniels needs to learn how to run outta bounds or slide. Rather than taking blows.” -Cody P.
Lastly, there’s our friend Zoe, who believes the LSU Tigers should’ve hung 82 points on Mississippi State.
“Not good enough, keep foot on gas pedal. Never settle” -Zoe P.
Party on, Zoe.
We’re grateful that LSU fans’ moods after Week 3 are more uppity than what we encountered last week. Indeed, the Tigers won big in Week 2 rolling up an FCS opponent wasn’t enough to appease the masses. As such, we expect oozing optimism from Baton Rouge if LSU beats the brakes off Arkansas this Saturday in the Battle for the Boot.
