DJ Chester - Center

This offseason, after losing to the powers in the SEC because of a lack of talent in the trenches, Lane Kiffin made it a priority to go out and get SEC caliber linemen. The crown jewel of his haul has been far and away defensive tackle Walter Nolen. This season, Nolen has lived up to the billing he had as a top five ranked player in his recruiting class. The Rebels also have a massive threat in defensive tackle JJ Pegues who has doubled as a running back at points this year.

Ole Miss' defensive coordinator Pete Golding is likely going to deploy his two monsters at times against DJ Chester. On this talented offensive line, Chester is the lone new starter which will make him a target to be picked on. Chester's performance at the point of attack will be a massive factor in this game as pressure up the middle could derail LSU's offense.

Shelton Sampson Jr - Wide Receiver

The LSU Tigers receiving core may be short handed this weekend according to the injury report. Cj Daniels and Chris Hilton Jr landed on the list as questionable while Kyle Parker was ruled out for the season on Thursday. If LSU is without Hilton once again and if they're without Daniels this weekend, they'll need a receiver to step up.

This summer, Shelton Sampson was impressive in camp but, hasn't gotten a ton of reps as LSU has some talented players ahead of him. In the UCLA game, Shelton Sampson looked impressive in the few routes he ran and was wide open for a touchdown but, Garrett Nussmeier didn't see him. If Sampson gets into this weekend's game, he has to make plays as Ole Miss will likely key in on Kyren Lacy and Aaron Anderson.

Bradyn Swinson - Edge Rusher

Through the start of the season, Bradyn Swinson has been the best defender for the LSU Football team. After the opening game, Swinson has stepped up and was instrumental in LSU pulling out a win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. On the season, Swinson has recorded five sacks while forcing two fumbles.

This weekend, Swinson will need to get pressure off the edge if LSU is going to slow this explosive Ole Miss offense. Against Kentucky, Jaxson Dart struggled in part due to the fact that Kentucky was able to get pressure. If Swinson starts to pressure Dart consistently, the Rebels will have to deploy a running back or tight end to help block him which will in turn help the secondary.
