Lane Kiffin and new LSU offensive line coach Eric Wolford have plenty of work to do in reshaping LSU's offensive line for the 2026 season. A total of 6 LSU offensive linemen from this past season have decided to enter the transfer portal, including 4 of 5 starters. One player to enter the portal was 5-star freshman Carius Curne, who announced his plans to enter the portal back on December 17. Now, Curne has found a new home.
Tennessee OL Lance Heard could help fix a glaring issue for LSU
According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, Curne has committed to Ole Miss. He played in 7 games during the regular season and had starts at both left and right tackle. He has 3 years of eligibility remaining.

LSU 5-star freshman Carius Curne transfers to Ole Miss
Curne was one of the top OL players available in the portal. He was ranked as the No. 5 offensive lineman on the market by Saturday Blitz, and his departure from LSU comes as a bit of a surprise.
The 6'5", 320-pound lineman dealth Kiffin and LSU a tough blow when he decided to transfer out of Baton Rouge. A former 5-star recruit, Curne came to LSU ranked as the top player in the state of Arkansas and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the country for the 2025 class according to 247Sports. He put together a strong true freshman season, and showed great versatility playing multiple positions. He has a bright future ahead, and it's unfortunate that it won't take place donning the purple and gold.
Curne is the second former Tiger offensive lineman to leave for a different SEC school. Redshirt freshman Coen Echols is heading to Texas A&M, and now Kiffin and Wolford are left with rebuilding LSU's offensive line. There are plenty of top names to target, including NC State's Jacarrius Peak and Tennessee's Lance Heard. After a massively disappointing 2025 season, Tiger fans are eager for Kiffin to turn things around in a hurry.
