With the way things have started for Lane Kiffin at LSU, it's easy to see why the Tigers broke the bank to bring him to Baton Rouge. Kiffin has turned countless heads with big recruiting wins, both through the portal and with high school prospects.
Lane Kiffin and LSU pushing to flip 4-star WR committed to Big 12 power
However, is it time for him to start worrying about one of his 5-star commits for the 2027 class? That could very well end up being the case when it comes to EDGE Jaiden Bryant. According to 247Sports' Anna Adams, the touted recruit has set an additional official visit to Texas A&M, while other OV dates to South Carolina and Miami will get finalized soon:

5-star LSU commit Jaiden Bryant has 3 other schools in mind
Bryant originally committed to LSU on Jan. 3, which was a massive get to start the new year for Kiffin and his new staff. However, the fact that less than two months later the 6-3, 245-pounder is already having some second thoughts is a bit concerning.
With Bryant being a Columbia, S.C. product, it makes sense that Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks are getting a serious look. At the same time, Mike Elko and Mario Cristobal are known as recruiting aces for Texas A&M and Miami, respectively.
Cristobal has been linked to several 5-star recruits for this cycle, with Mark Matthews and Nick Lennear being two guys on 'commit watch' for the Canes. Could Bryant be added to that list as well? This is something LSU fans are hoping won't be the case.
Per the 247Sports Composite, Bryant is ranked five stars, the No. 4 EDGE in the country, No. 1 player from South Carolina and the No. 37 player nationally for the 2027 class. He holds 23 offers to his name and more tenders could be on the way this spring. For now, he'll be LSU-bound for his college career, but it's clear that other schools are working overtime to change his mind.
