This Spring is starting to heat things up on the recruiting trail as recruits are making their way to colleges across the Country as they near decisions. As the Summer nears and recruits get ready to take their official visits, recruits are narrowing down their lists of potential schools into finalists groups.
On Monday, In-State Star Darryus McKinley released his Final Four schools naming LSU a finalist alongside Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.
According to On3's Industry recruiting rankings, McKinley is the 370th ranked player in the class, the 34th ranked defensive lineman, and the 10th ranked player out of Louisiana. The Tigers just signed a loaded defensive tackle class but, given the uncertainty surrounding the transfer portal with Bo Davis' departure LSU may look to take another massive defensive line class.
Fellow In-State Star Lamar Brown who LSU is also pushing for in this class pointed out that the two do share a similar finalist in LSU.
"I see a match."Lamar Brown
Lamar Brown and other recruits could help LSU in landing Darryus McKinley but, LSU's biggest recruiter will be on the Tigers' roster. Darryus' older brother Dominick was a five star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class who stayed at home signing with LSU. The Tigers can offer the chance for Darryus to play with his brother which they also have in the case of Jacob and Blaine Bradford.
LSU is looking to nab a loaded In-State Defensive Line Class
The State of Louisiana is one of the best resources for LSU on a yearly basis and this year the State has produced a loaded class of defensive linemen. The Tigers are targeting Five-Star Lamar Brown who has the talent to play offensive or defensive line at the College Level. The crown jewel of LSU's class has been Richar Anderson who was first to commit to LSU and it's panned out as Anderson has risen to become a Top 30 player in the class. If LSU is able to nabe Lamar Brown, Richard Anderson, and Darryus McKinley it would make for a massive class.
