On Saturday Afternoon, we'll see a matchup between two teams trying to get out of their skids as LSU and Florida face off down in The Swamp. This series has been dominated by LSU as of late as the Tigers have won the last five games holding a 34-33-1 record in the series. The Tigers enter the game as the 22nd ranked team according to the College Football Playoff committee while the Gators are unranked.
This game had the potential to be a boring watch but, Florida Quarterback DJ Lagway will give it a go after missing last week's game. As of Saturday Afternoon, here are the current odds for the between LSU and Florida:
Line: LSU - 3.5
Total: 55.5 Points
The oddsmakers are predicting a close battle between these two teams giving the slight edge to the LSU on the at road. The total indicates they expect these teams to both score in the high 20's which feels low given how both defenses have played as of late.
Death Valley Voice's Predictions:
Nicholas Rome: LSU Wins 38-17
Savannah Young: LSU Wins 42-17
Why LSU will win this game snapping their two game losing streak
The LSU Tigers need to win this weekend to keep their hopes of earning a bid to the SEC Championship Game. The biggest issue for the Florida Gators is the health of DJ Lagway as they have no chance if he isn't able to make it through the game. The Tigers run game should get a boost this weekend as the Gators have given up some massive performances to opposing running backs. Garrett Nussmeier will ultimately determine whether or not the Tigers win this game as he needs to cut down on his turnovers the rest of this season.
