The roster building aspect of College Football is currently in full swing as College Football players are declaring their intentions to enter the transfer portal while recruits are signing with their future schools as we are in the Early Signing Period of recruiting.

Defensive Back has become a position to watch for LSU as the Tigers will lose starters Sage Ryan, Major Burns, and Zy Alexander. The transfer portal saw LSU lose safety Jordan Allen while five-star cornerback Kade Phillips flipped his commitment to Texas on the eve of Signing Day.

On Tuesday an intriguing candidate entered the transfer portal for LSU when Florida Cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson entered the transfer portal.

Jackson is an intriguing player for LSU because Corey Raymond was the defensive backs coach that brought Jackson to Florida. Given that Raymond is now back at LSU, any defensive backs that are departing Florida will be canidates for LSU because of the Raymond connection.

The LSU Football team signed a four-star cornerback today in Ruston's Aidan Anding while they're awaiting DJ Pickett's official decision. Getting a defensive back with experience in the SEC will only help LSU as it gives the team another option in replacing Zy Alexander who was outstanding this season.

Before the Transfer Portal entries started, Brian Kelly declared that LSU will be very active in the portal after mostly sitting it out last season. When Kelly said that he raised everyone's expectations so now LSU will need to follow through on that promise. The Transfer Portal officially opens on December 9th so we'll see once it opens who LSU starts to contact.
