The college football transfer portal has been open for more than a week now. It will remain open until Friday, January 16, and Lane Kiffin is hard at work re-shaping LSU's roster for his first season in Baton Rouge in 2026. As Kiffin continues navigating the Tigers through the portal, several former Tigers are finding their new homes.

Lane Kiffin's QB search continues with latest visit from former 5-star recruit

The latest former LSU player to find a new team is WR Destyn Hill. According to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Hill has signed with Tulane. The Green Wave will be Hill's 3rd collegiate teams, as he spent one season with LSU after 2 seasons with Florida State.

Hill's move to Tulane brings him back home. A New Orleans native, Hill shined at Edna Karr High School and was rated as a consensus 4-star recruit. According to 247Sports Composite, he was ranked as the No. 19 wide receiver in the country and the No. 5 player in Louisiana for the 2023 recruiting class.

Hill joins a Tulane program entering Year 1 of the Will Hall era after Jon Sumrall left for the Florida job. He has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Unfortunately, Hill's collegiate career has been plagued by injuries. His LSU tenure got off to a rough start in Week 1, as he suffered a broken hand in the season opener against Clemson. He then underwent a procedure that required a plate to be inserted into his hand and was sidelined for several weeks. He recorded 2 catches for 22 yards on the season, collecting one catch against Arkansas and Western Kentucky respectively.

Hill transferred to LSU after missing the entire 2024 season due to an injury while with Florida State. He spent two seasons with the Seminoles, and appeared in 10 games with 6 catches for 87 yards in 2023 as a true freshman.
