After the Tiger kicked off their 2024 season with a 50 point win over Eastern Kentucky on Monday night, head coach Kim Mulkey landed another commitment in the class of 2025 Wednesday morning, 5 star recruit Grace Knox from California. Knox announced her commitment on social media, choosing LSU over USC and fellow SEC members Tennessee and Texas.

Knox is a 6'2" small forward who averaged 17.2 points and 11.9 rebounds in her junior season at Etiwanda High School, leading her team to a championship. She is ranked as the 6th overall prospect in the class of 2025 in the ESPN 100 recruiting rankings.

Knox's commitment comes just days after five-star guard ZaKiyah Johnson also announced her commitment to the program along with earlier Top 25 commits Divine Bourrage and Bella Hines. LSU now has four 5 star commits in their 2025 recruiting class and sits atop the recruiting rankings one week before the early signing window opens from November 13th-20th, a far cry from this past May when Mulkey's recruiting class was unranked. If the class holds, this will mark a huge turning point in the Mulkey Era, as LSU continues to primarily build from the incoming high school class rather than relying solely on transfers.

Speaking on her reasons for committing to LSU, Knox said, "I felt like Coach Mulkey's coaching style is going to be good for me. Passionate coaching brings out the best in me. Everything felt right on my visit, and I feel like I fit their style of play."

Kim Mulkey and the Tigers next play against Northwestern State at home in the PMAC this Friday at 7 PM on SEC Network+.
