The LSU Football team hasn't suffered many setbacks on the recruiting trail during this cycle which has led to the Tigers building an impressive class. Heading into one of the most pivotal recruiting weekends of the year, the Tigers held the Nation's 2nd ranked recruiting class trailing only the USC Trojans. As LSU hosted a loaded group of visitors, the hope was that the Tigers could start to build out this class with some of the recruits it had on campus.

Instead of positive news, the LSU fanbase will leave the weekend with an uneasy feeling about this class in part because of where LSU's commits were this weekend.

LSU's WR commits have the Tigers fanbase on edge

The Crown Jewel of LSU's recruiting class is the Nation's top ranked wide receiver Tristen Keys who committed to the Tigers this Spring. When Keys planned to continue taking visits it was a concern for LSU fans but, the Tigers faithful chose to remain optimistic. After his visit to Miami, Tristen Keys told 24/7's Gaby Urrutia a concerning quote.

As if the news wasn't already concerning, Tristen Keys reworked his official visit plans this weekend which brings more competition to the table for the Tigers.

The news wouldn't be as concerning for LSU if the Tigers' recruiting class was seemingly secure with the rest of its wide receiver commits. Instead, LSU already suffered one loss when Jakai Anderson flipped his commitment from LSU to SMU, taking a key piece out of LSU's class.

This weekend's most concerning news comes in the recruitment of In-State Wide Receiver Kenny Darby as the week started with Darby setting an official visit to Alabama. After his official visit to Alabama, Kenny Darby has now announced that he'll make a final decision between LSU and Alabama on July 4th.

The Tigers now having to wait out a final decision for a recruit that's currently committed to the Tigers is certainly strange. Losing Darby would be a big blow to the Tigers as there was already concerns that Tristen Keys could flip meaning LSU's staff will have to pivot.

The good news for LSU is that the Tigers are still heavily in the mix for some of the top wide receiver recruits in this cycle. The Tigers hosted several elite wide receivers this weekend and as the official visit cycle continues, elite wide receivers will continue to make their way to Baton Rouge.
