The LSU Tigers moved to 2-0 with a 23-7 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium. It wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing win, as LSU struggled to move the ball offensively, and missed several opportunities to make big plays. Heading into the SEC opener against Florida next week, Brian Kelly's squad has a lot to improve on.
LSU suffered multiple injuries to key players in Saturday's win. Starting center Braelin Moore and star tight end Trey'Dez Green both went down with injuries and didn't return to the field. If they aren't able to play against Florida, it would be a pair of huge losses for the Tigers.
Braelin Moore injured on the first play of the game
On the first play from scrimmage, LSU starting center Braelin Moore went down with a lower body injury. His legs got rolled up on from behind, which left Moore down on the ground for several moments after the play. It was a scary sight for Tiger fans, but it's worth noting that the Virginia Tech transfer was able to walk to the locker room under his own power with medical personnel.
Moore was evaluated in the locker room, and didn't return to action. He was seen wearing street clothes and a walking boot on the sidelines in the second half.
Moore was a key addition to LSU's offense line via the transfer portal. He started at center in the season opener at Clemson, and has played a prominent role in LSU's new-look offensive line that allowed just one sack against a strong Clemson pass rush. DJ Chester replaced Moore and played the rest of the game at center against Louisiana Tech.
Trey'Dez Green goes down in second half
Trey'Dez Green was one of the heroes in LSU's win over Clemson, as he hauled in the eventual game-winning touchdown from Garrett Nussmeier in the fourth quarter. He didn't record a catch in Saturday's game against Louisiana Tech before suffering an injury in the second half.
Like Moore, Green wasn't able to return to the game. He was seen on the sideline with a knee brace and crutches.

If Green is unable to play against Florida, Oklahoma transfer TE Bauer Sharp could see an increased role. Sharp has five catches for 18 yards so far this season, and lost a fumble at Clemson in the season opener.
The injuries to Moore and Green will be monitored closely this week leading up to the SEC opener against Florida. In an offense that's been struggling, the absence of Moore and/or Green would be felt in a big way.
