Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton is arguably the best playe available in the transfer portal right now, and he took a visit to LSU on Thursday. As Lane Kiffin and new LSU offensive line coach Eric Wolford continue to revamp the Tiger offensive line, getting a player of Seaton's caliber would do wonders for the LSU offense in 2026.

However, LSU got some tough news on Thursday regarding Seaton's portal recruitment. According to Pene Nakos of On3, Seaton is now expected to visit the Texas Longhorns as well. That's a tough blow for Kiffin and the Tigers, who are also competing with the Oregon Ducks for Seaton's services.

Jordan Seaton is one of the top players remaining in the transfer portal
Seaton is ranked as the No. 2 offensive lineman in the portal by Saturday Blitz, and is the top lineman still on the market after NC State's Jacarrius Peak committed to South Carolina earlier this week. Seaton is an elite pass-protector, as he allowed just 5 sacks over the course of 2 seasons and 948 pass blocking snaps with Colorado. Furthermore, his pass-blocking grade of 91.4 was the best in the entire country this past season.
Kiffin brought in former Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt to be his QB1 in Baton Rouge in 2026, but Leavitt has some injury concerns. He suffered a season-ending foot injury against Houston on October 25, and underwent surgery in early November. He appears to be on schedule during his recovery thus far, but keeping him protected in 2026 will be a huge priority for LSU. Seaton's presence would help immensely in that effort.
Owning a 6'5" 330-pound frame, Seaton has 2 years of eligibility remaining and is regarded as a future First Round pick in the NFL Draft. Seaton hasn't showed his hand though his recruitment just yet, but scheduling a visit to Texas is certainly a development worth monitoring. Tiger fans are hoping he chooses to spend the 2026 season in Baton Rouge.
