The LSU Tigers suffered a frustrating defeat at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores this past weekend. Vanderbilt controlled the game from start to finish en route to a 31-24 win. With the loss, LSU dropped from No. 10 to No. 20 in the AP Poll and falls to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in SEC play.

The Tigers have little time to lick their wounds, as they are set to welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Baton Rouge on Saturday. Mike Elko's team is undefeated with a record of 7-0 and ranked as the No. 3 team in the country in the AP Poll. LSU vs Texas A&M betting odds have been released, and the Tigers find themselves in rare territory.

Oddsmakers don't have much faith in LSU bouncing back from the Vanderbilt loss. As of 10:30 a.m. CT on Monday, Oct. 20, Texas A&M is favored by 2.5 points over LSU on FanDuel Sportsbook. The Tigers have never lost to the Aggies in Baton Rouge since Texas A&M joined the SEC. On the moneyline, Texas A&M has odds of -140 while LSU has underdog odds of +116. The total, or over/under, is listed at 48.5.

So far this season, LSU is 5-2 straight up but just 3-4 against the spread. The Tigers have covered the spread just once in their last four games, which came in a 20-10 win against South Carolina on Oct. 11. Low-scoring games have been a theme for LSU this season, as the under is 5-2 in LSU's seven games so far this season.

On the other side, Texas A&M is 7-0 straight up and 3-4 against the spread. The Aggies are coming off a 45-42 win over Arkansas, but they didn't cover the 7.5-point spread. Unlike LSU, Texas A&M has played in several high-scoring affairs, as the over is 5-2 in their seven games this season.

Kick-off between the Tigers and Aggies is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
