The LSU Football Program has been firing on all cylinders in the transfer portal as the Tigers have quickly landed nine transfers filling several positions of need. The one position of need the LSU Football team hasn't filled as quickly is on the offensive line. Landing top transfers on the offensive line is hard as everyone in the country can use talented offensive linemen and they hardly ever hit the transfer portal.
This offseason, the Tigers are tasked with replacing four out of five starting offensive linemen as Will Campbell, Emery Jones, Garrett Dellinger, and Miles Frazier with just center DJ Chester returning. The Tigers should be helped by the fact that Washington State offensive tackle Fa’alili Fa’amoe will take a visit to Baton Rouge along with visiting Nebraska.
Fa’alili Fa’amoe has started three seasons for the Cougars after signing as a defensive lineman spending the majority of his time at Right Tackle. According to 24/7 Sports, Fa’alili Fa’amoe is the second ranked offensive tackle in the transfer portal.
The Tigers desperately need to land an experienced offensive tackle in the transfer portal this cycle. LSU loses both offensive tackles and has no returning offensive tackles with starting experience except for whoever will start in the Texas Bowl.
LSU is already projected to land Virginia Tech transfer Braelin Moore who can slot in at any of the positions on the interior. Adding a tackle with experience along with Moore can give the Tigers three offensive linemen with starting experience making it easier to start two players without starting experience.
The final starting spots at tackle and guard can then be a battle between returning players like Tyree Adams, Paul Mubenga, Coen Echols, and the true freshmen like Carius Curne, Solomon Thomas, and Tyler Miller.
