The LSU vs Alabama game is shaping up to be one of the most star studded recruiting weekends of the year for LSU. The Tigers will have top 2025 recruits Bryce Underwood and Jahkeem Steart in attendance, five stars in the 2026 and 2027 classes, and the basketball program will have five-star Chris Cenac in attendance.

The latest five star talent that has joined the list of attendees is five-star cornerback and Ohio State commit Na'eem Offord.

According to On3, Offord is the 10th ranked player in the 2025 class, the third ranked cornerback, and the top player in the State of Alabama. Offord has been committed to Ohio State since February but, as of late he has taken visits to Auburn and Oregon showing that there may be a chance for a school to flip him.

If LSU was going to flip Na'eem Offord from Ohio State it would take a massive push and likely a massive NIL offer. The Tigers may not be in the best place to make this offer as they're already pushing to keep Jahkeem Stewart in state while Michigan is turning up the heat to flip Bryce Underwood. That isn't to say that LSU doesn't have any chance but, it would take a massive push from LSU.

This could be a case of a recruit wanting to see the best game of the weekend but, getting any recruit onto campus for a night game in Tiger Stadium quickly makes its impact for LSU.

The reemergence of DBU at LSU

If you're Brian Kelly, this is exactly why you brought Corey Raymond back into the fold as LSU is once again a destination top defensive backs consider. If LSU could make a serious run at Offord it would be massive as you could potentially pair DJ Pickett, Kade Phillips, and Offord three of the best cornerbacks together in the same defensive back field. LSU is building on of the Nation's best defensive back classes with players like Pickett, Kade Phillips, Jhase Thomas, and Jacob Bradford which is a great sight to see.
