The LSU women's basketball program continues to be on the radar of top recruits. A recruiting breakdown from the No. 2 overall player in the 2026 class has Tiger fans excited at the possibility of bringing another star to Baton Rouge.

Oliviyah Edwards, a five-star recruit hailing from Elite Sports Academy in Tacoma, WA, announced that she has narrowed her list of potential schools down to six. LSU remains in the mix, along with South Carolina, USC, Tennessee, Florida, and Washington.

Edwards coming to Baton Rouge for official visit this fall

Edwards is a 6-foot-3 forward who possesses a well-rounded skill set. Her elite athleticism is impossible to miss, and her length and versatility make life extremely difficult for her opponents on both ends of the floor. She has grabbed national headlines on several occasions, most notably for dunking, which she accomplished as early as the seventh grade.

Edwards will be on campus in Baton Rouge soon, as she has an official visit at LSU scheduled for Oct. 9-12. She's already taken an official visit to USC, and along with LSU, has official visits scheduled for the fall at Tennessee and South Carolina. She'll visit Knoxville Sept. 12-14 and Columbia Sept. 19-21.

As of now, LSU does not have any players committed for next year's recruiting class. But, along with Edwards, another top recruit is still keeping LSU in the mix. Jacy Abii, a 6-foot-2 guard from Liberty High School in Plano, TX, has LSU listed in her top five finalists. Abii is the No. 10 prospect in the 2026 class.

As Kim Mulkey and her staff continue their recruiting efforts for 2026, the upcoming season will be here soon. The 2025-26 LSU women's basketball schedule has been released, which means it won't be long until Flau'Jae Johnson and company take the floor in pursuit of another Final Four run.
