LSU Football cracks the final five for elite in-state star in 2026 recruiting class
Last weekend, the LSU Football program hosted top recruits from across the country and across multiple recruiting classes for the annual Bayou Splash recruiting event. The event is the most popular among LSU Football's instate recruiting targets with plenty of the top in-state recruits attending.
Making his way to LSU's Campus was elite safety recruit and Baton Rouge native Blaine Bradford. Friday night saw Blaine Bradford release the final five schools in his recruitment with LSU up against Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Oregon.
Early on, Blaine Bradford is a top recruiting target for teams across the country as On3 ranks him as the Nation's top safety and the 10th-ranked player overall in the class. The LSU Football team is in a great position according to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine which gives LSU a 88.5% chance of landing him.
The progress with Blaine Bradford could be very impactful for LSU Football's 2025 recruiting class. This past week when the Bradfords made their way to Baton Rouge, LSU offered Blaine's older brother Jacob a scholarship. Jacob Bradford is currently committed to Houston where he committed in July but, the recent LSU offer may help the Tigers in flipping him. On3's industry rankings has Bradford as a four-star recruit ranked as the 37th ranked safety in the class and as the 11th ranked player in the state.
2026 recruiting class will be massive for LSU
We're a long way away from National Signing Day for the 2026 recruiting class but, if LSU can dominate in-state recruiting like they have it will be massive for the Tigers. The in-state class features three of the Nation's top ten recruits with the top overall recruit Jahkeem Stewart, fifth-ranked Lamar Brown who stars as a defensive tackle and as a guard, and the aforementioned Blaine Bradford. In total, the state has six of the top 51 recruits while LSU already holds commitments from Richard Anderson, Jalan Chapman, and Jakai Anderson.
