This weekend's Bayou Splash recruiting event is set to be a massive event as the LSU Tigers push for the Nation's top recruiting class. The Tigers have already gotten off to a positive start picking up a crystal ball for five star safety Jonah Williams while they'll get five star receiver Jaime Ffrench in Baton Rouge this weekend.

The Tigers' third-ranked recruiting class is loaded with talent on the offensive side of the football but, there are still a few pieces the Tigers would like to add. One of those positions is at tight end where LSU already holds a commitment from four star in-state recruit JD LaFleur. While LSU feels great about LaFleur the Tigers would like to add another tight-end especially as Mason Taylor will likely head to the NFL after this season.

The Tigers will have a chance to land their second tight end in this recruiting class as 24/7 Sports' Sonny Shipp predicts that the LSU Football team will land tight end recruit Mike Tyler. The tight end is ranked as a three-star recruit as the 37th-ranked tight end in the class. Landing Tyler would cap off a great first year on the recruiting trail for new tight ends coach Slade Nagle who came over from Tulane in January.

Everything is shaping up perfectly for LSU Football

The LSU Tigers are off to a perfect start before this weekend even begins which could set up for a massive win on the trail this weekend. The two biggest targets LSU still has on the recruiting trail will both visit Baton Rouge ahead of their August commitment dates. Helping the coaching staff in recruiting is a hoard of talent with commits DJ Pickett, Harlem Berry, and Damien Shanklin leading the push. The Bayou Splash results from last year could be trumped by the results we may see from the event this year.
