The LSU Football team entered this game as massive favorites against the UCLA Bruins. This was supposed to be a game the LSU Football team dominated as the Bruins had scored just two touchdowns in their first two games. The Tigers had all of the momentum too as UCLA was coming off of a massive loss against Indiana while LSU escaped South Carolina with a win.

The opening drive gave everyone the feeling that we were going to see a different LSU football team as the offense opened the game with the perfect attack scoring an easy touchdown. The defense quickly dashed hopes of a dominating game allowing UCLA to walk right down the field scoring a touchdown.

Brian Kelly made some questionable decisions throughout the first half going for it on fourth and seven near midfield which led directly to UCLA scoring three points. He also declined a ten second run off as UCLA was driving down the field at the end of the half which proved costly as the Bruins scored a touchdown with two seconds left in the half.

The Tigers dominated the second half of this game outscoring the Bruins 17-0 but, there are still some massive concerns with this team after four weeks.

The injuries keep piling up at a ridiculous rate as LSU football lost Harold Perkins Jr for the game to a knee injury, Zy Alexander to an injury, and Emery Jones suffered an ankle injury but, remained in the game. The Tigers may be without two of their key pieces defensively before they even enter the true meat of the schedule.

The defense is still plagued by the big play allowing the most plays of 10+ yards, 15+ yards, 20+ yards, and 30+ yards in the SEC after today's game.

The offense remains a positive for this team even on what wasn't the greatest day passing the football. Kyren Lacy was kept quiet but, Aaron Anderson and Mason Taylor both went above 75+ yards while Kyle Parker and Caden Durham both broke off massive plays for touchdowns.

If you had to name one concern on the offense it would be the constant false start penalties and constantly having to burn timeouts to avoid delay of game penalties.

Defensively, the team stepped up in the second half keeping the Bruins off the scoreboard while the offense pulled away. The defensive front pressured Garbers all game with five sacks two of which came from Bradyn Swinson.

The defense can't wait until halftime to adjust

This marks back to back to back weekends where the LSU Football team played a much better game in the second half than they did in the first half. The defense keeps making massive adjustments at halftime but, the adjustments need to happen much sooner, especially as LSU faces Ole Miss after next weekend's game. A win is a win especially in College Football but, the Tigers need to open these games much stronger if they want to make the College Football Playoff.
