The LSU Football program is set to start camp next week but, not until they host their final weekend of recruiting visits with their Bayou Splash event. This event consistently ends up being one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year for the LSU football team, especially with the rising juniors they get on campus.

This weekend however, the LSU Football team will be all hands on deck with one of their top recruiting targets. All of the stars will be in Baton Rouge with Bryce Underwood, DJ Pickett, Harlem Berry, Keylan Moses, and plenty of other LSU commits attending the event.

The biggest recruiting asset for LSU this weekend, however, will likely be baseball coach Jay Johnson who is in the midst of a recruiting hot streak like we've never seen before.

The LSU Tigers will host two sport star Jonah Williams this weekend, Williams is one of the most sought after pitchers in the country while also ranking as the tenth best player overall and the top safety in this recruiting class.

The Tigers hosted Williams this spring but since the last time LSU hosted Williams their recruiting pitch has gotten much stronger. On the baseball side, Jay Johnson will get three of the top ten recruits in this past recruiting class in Derek Curiel, William Schmidt, and Cade Arrambide onto campus who Williams will get to play along.

The football pitch is much stronger for LSU as well as this month has been massive for the Tigers on the defensive side of the football. The staff can now pitch to Jonah Williams that he'll play alongside Jhase Thomas and in the same secondary as DJ Pickett. He'll also have Damien Shanklin, Brandon, Brown, and Zion Williams rushing the passer in front of him as the Tigers picked up some help up front.

Is the DJ Pickett factor coming into play?

One of the biggest needs we felt the LSU Football program had on the recruiting trail was a defensive star opposite of Bryce Underwood to help in the recruiting pitches. Now with DJ Pickett on board, the Tigers have the star talent that will help in attracting other top recruits. The in-state Texas schools and Oregon will be tough to beat out but, it's hard to find a school with a better two sport pitch to Williams than LSU's.
