Ten Candidates to be LSU's next commitment in August
Jacob Bradford - Safety - Houston Commit
The LSU Tigers have been dominant in state landing six of the top ten players in Louisiana. The Tigers are pushing to land the state's 11th ranked player in Jacob Bradford who is currently committed to Houston. The Tigers are pushing for Jacob's brother Blaine who is a top-50 recruit in the 2026 recruiting class. The Tigers hosted the brothers on the days after Bayou Splash and could get some help in the recruitment of Blaine if they flip Jacob.
Bryce Fitzgerald - Safety - August 17th Commitment
LSU has been heavily pursuing safeties however, the name Bryce Fitzgerald may feel new to many following recruiting. The Tigers just started a massive push for Fitzgerald and are picking up serious steam with him ahead of his commitment. Fitzgerald is ranked as the 14th ranked safety in the class and the 122nd best player in the country.
Walter Mathis Jr - Defensive Line
The LSU Football team already has three commitments at defensive tackle after Bo Davis landed Dilan Battle earlier this week. Adding a fourth defensive tackle isn't out of the picture, especially given the expanded roster sizes starting in 2025. Mathis is a player that LSU has been pursuing seriously and they may add him as he plans to shutdown his recruitment prior to his Senior season.
Reshad Sterling - Edge Rusher - Houston Commit
The LSU Football team wasn't in on Reshad Sterling early on when he first committed however, a scholarship offer in late May could have the Tigers in contention. Sterling is the 23rd ranked player in Louisiana and the 55th ranked edge rusher in the class. We've seen LSU lock eyes on Houston's as they look to flip Jacob Bradford and Sterling and as LSU continues to pick up in-state talents a flip is more likely.
Naeshaun Montgomery - Wide Receiver - August 25th Commitment
The LSU Tigers remain heavily involved with receivers on the recruiting trail despite holding commitments from TaRon Francis, Derek Meadows, and Phillip Wright. The Tigers will push for Florida native Naeshaun Montgomery who will commit at the end of this month. If LSU feels like they're going to miss out on Jaime Ffrench, we may see the Tigers make a strong push for Montgomery. LSU is one of six finalists along with Penn State, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Oregon.
Solomon Thomas - Interior Offensive Line - Florida State commit
The entire Spring it looked like LSU may flip Solomon Thomas away from the Florida State Seminoles. Thomas ultimatley stayed committed but, the Tigers continue their push and they'll get a visit from Thomas this fall. Brad Davis already has four commits in this recruiting class but, the Nation's top interior offensive lineman and the 15th ranked recruit in this class would be the Crown Jewel for LSU.
