The College Football season is right around the corner as July marks the final month without football as we'll have games in August. The season approaching means pre-season awards watch lists and preseason All-American teams will slowly start to trickle out. This week, Walter Camp released their official Preseason All-American teams which is notable as they're one of the selectors who'll decide who's a consensus All-American and who isn't.

Will Campbell - 1st Team - Offensive Line

This selection comes as no surprise as Will Campbell is easily the best offensive tackle in college football and potentially the best player across the sport. After being named First-Team All-SEC in 2023, Campbell will be an early candidate to be a unanimous All-American as he looks to anchor LSU's offensive line.

Harold Perkins - 2nd Team - Linebacker

Harold Perkins landing on the second team does come as a shock but, he'll have a chance to prove he was underrated this season. Ahead of Perkins were Oklahoma Linebacker Danny Stutsman, Iowa linebacker Jay Higgins, and Old Dominion linebacker Jason Henderson. In his second full season at linebacker in Blake Baker's defense it's easy to expect a bounce back year from Perkins as he'll become one of the best defenders in College Football again.

The biggest snub is easily Emery Jones Jr

While the list for the most part is defendable the absence of Emery Jones Jr is a massive miss from Walter Camp Football. There's no right tackle better than Jones Jr in college football and its arguable that he is one of the four best tackles in the sport. When making a first or second team, it should resemble a team and picking the best tackles over the two best left and right tackles feels like the wrong approach to this list.
