The transfer portal is nearing its close as LSU Football still awaits a commitment from a defensive tackle. The Tigers have seen nine players enter the transfer portal with just three committing thus far. Below are the destinations for each of LSU Football's transfer portal departures which will be updated as destinations are chosen.

Khai Prean - Wide Receiver - Tulane

The former four-star recruit entered the transfer portal after red-shirting his freshman year in a loaded receiving room. The Saint James Native is headed to Tulane where he'll join former high school teammate wide receiver Shazz Preston. When we're all not watching LSU Football, Tulane will be one of the most fun teams to watch with such a talented receiving duo in Khai Prean and Shazz Preston.

Jaxon Howard - Edge Rusher - Minnesota

The former four-star recruit played in five games while recording two tackles as a true freshman redshirting in 2023. Despite the chance at an increased role Howard announced his plans to enter the transfer portal before the Spring Window opened up. Howard returns to Minnesota, his home state where he'll play for the Gophers after being the top ranked player in the state in the 2023 signing class. It's hard to be upset with the departure of Howard as he returns home and we'll all certainly hope that Howard succeeds for the Gophers.

Ryan Yaites - Safety - California

As a true freshman, Ryan Yaites played in all thirteen games appearing on special teams and defense as a backup safety. The former four-star recruit entered the transfer portal ending up at California with three years of eligibility remaining. The returns of Major Burns and Sage Ryan while the addition of Jardin Gilbert paired with the emergence of Kylin Jackson and DaShawn McBryde made it tough for Yaites to earn a starting role.
