The offseason has been fully underway for some time now as LSU has signed its 2025 recruiting class and has started to build its transfer portal class. The Tigers have landed nine transfers thus far and between the transfer class and the recruiting class, LSU has added five wide receivers in Nic Anderson, Barion Brown, Destyn Hill, TaRon Francis, and Phillip Wright.

The Tigers return experienced wide receivers in Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton Jr, Kyle Parker, Zavion Thomas, Javen Nicholas, and younger receivers Jelani Watkins and Kylan Billiot.

This offseason, LSU does have to replace Kyren Lacy who's off to the NFL, CJ Daniels who transferred to Miami, and Shelton Sampson and Landon Ibieta who have entered the Transfer Portal.

Heading into the season, LSU's leading wide receiver trio is expected to be Aaron Anderson, Nic Anderson, and Barion Brown. If those three players all played on their own teams in the SEC, they'd all be expected to lead their teams in receiving yet, LSU has them all in the same lineup. Barion Brown led Kentucky in receiving yards as a true freshman before the quarterback play took a dip in 2023 and 2024, Nic Anderson led Oklahoma in receiving in 2023 before missing 2024, and Aaron Anderson will finish the season as the leader for LSU after the Bowl game.

The starting trio alone will make for arguably the best receiving core in the Country but, then you look at the other pieces and that's where LSU may be in its own league. The Tigers have two deep threats in Chris Hilton Jr and Kyle Parker that can come in at any moment and beat the opposing team deep for a touchdown while opening a ton up underneath for everyone else. Zavion Thomas is a player where you just need to get the ball in his hands in any way and watch what he can do in the open field.

Destyn Hill, Jelani Watkins, and Kylan Billiot are all pieces where if they develop this offseason as LSU hopes, could easily be massive weapons for LSU in 2025 and down the line. The Freshman class gives LSU Phillip Wright who is an absolute burner and TaRon Francis is that big playmaker at 6 foot 1 that LSU will need after this season.

WRU is fully loaded once again in a new way

It's no surprise that LSU the school that has become known for having and producing the best wide receivers in the Country is loaded at wide receiver. The way that LSU is doing it in 2025 is what's the surprise as Nic Anderson, Aaron Anderson, and Barion Brown who are expected to lead the team all transferred into LSU. The Tigers reputation as the best at developing Wide Receivers is starting to pay off with transfer wide receivers which will help LSU in being loaded on a yearly basis.
