It's been about six months since Lane Kiffin made his move to LSU, and Trinidad Chambliss still keeps dropping fresh truth bombs about his exit that completely shocks both LSU and Ole Miss fanbases.

The latest one from him dropped Sunday.

Chambliss recently sat down with On3's Ole Miss insider Chris Low and detailed his feelings from what easily was one of the most chaotic times for a program in college football history.

"Yeah, it was definitely a weird process, him leaving right when we were getting a chance to play for everything we had worked for, and also just because me coming from Ferris State, our coach was there for the longest and he will retire there," Chambliss said.

Kiffin was the architect behind Chambliss's SEC arc. It was Kiffin who brought the DII QB to Ole Miss, trusting him as Austin Simmons' backup, and later handed him the reins to QB1, which led him to develop into one of the top returning QBs in 2026.

The deal-breakder for Trinidad Chambliss

Of course, following Kiffin to LSU was a temptation Chambliss had to fight off with both hands.

Undoubtedly, Kiffin must also have gone all-out to bring his most lethal weapon with him. It was just that Kiffin's messy fallout with the Rebels amidst their CFP run turned out to be the ultimate poison pill for any reunion chances.

"I guess I wasn’t used to something like that and used to that situation and how he handled it," Chambliss said.

"No hate or any less love for Coach Kiffin. He gave me a great opportunity to come here and play football, and I’m truly grateful for that," Chambliss further added, crushing any bad blood rumors that could start with his statements right from the roots.

Kiffin and Chambliss and might not have merged poaths then, but college football has it's own ways of doing so.

Even though they didn't then, they will now meet again on Sep. 19, now on the opposite teams in Ole Miss vs. LSU showdown.
