Former LSU Tiger Will Campbell is one of five LSU alums preparing to play in Super Bowl LX on Sunday evening when the Seattle Seahawks battle the New England Patriots. Campbell was drafted 4th overall by the Patriots in last year's NFL Draft, and put together a strong rookie season that helped lead the Patriots to an AFC title.

When speaking with reporters at Super Bowl Media Day, Campbell was asked about his thoughts on LSU's hiring of Lane Kiffin. Campbell's comments show he has plenty of confidence in the direction of the program with Kiffin at the helm.

Will Campbell excited to see what Lane Kiffin can do at LSU

Campbell had nothing but good things to say about Kiffin, and it's obvious that he is excited to see what LSU's new head coach can do in Baton Rouge.

"I think it's awesome. I was recruited by Kiffin - he's a dawg. I played against him for three years, and his resume speaks for itself, his high-powered offense. Blake Baker being back is awesome. I'm just super excited for those guys, and ready to watch them go make something happen."

Campbell never played for Kiffin, but played against him in the SEC and was recruited by him. Campbell's confidence and excitement is shared by LSU fans everywhere. LSU has not been to the College Football Playoff since its historic 2019 season, and after the Brian Kelly era ended in disappointment, Tiger fans are ready to compete for another National Championship.

Hailing from Neville High School in Monroe, Campbell enrolled early at LSU in January 2022. He earned the starting role as LSU's offensive tackle as a freshman, and went on to earn Freshman All-American honors by the Football Writers Association of America. In 2024, Campbell was a consensus First-Team All-American and won the Jacob Blocking Trophy as the top offensive lineman in the SEC.

Along with Campbell, former Tigers Kayshon Boutte, K'Lavon Chaisson and Bradyn Swinson will suit up for the Patriots on Sunday. Anthony Bradford is the lone former Tiger on Seattle's roster. That means no matter the outcome, at least one LSU alum will become a Super Bowl champion.
