Kim Mulkey has the LSU women's basketball program flying high. The Tigers completed their non-conference slate in dominating fashion, owning a 14-0 record and scoring 100+ points in 11 games. Currently ranked as the No. 5 team in the country in the AP Poll, Tiger fans have a lot to be excited about.

But with SEC play looming, LSU fans are wondering if star freshman Grace Knox will be back in the lineup. Knox missed LSU's non-conference finale against Alabama State on Sunday, and Mulkey has now provided an update on her timeline to return.
Kim Mulkey gives update on Grace Knox's status for SEC play
The Tigers set to begin SEC play with a home tilt against the 11th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday night. After Knox was away from the team for Sunday's game against Alabama State, it appears that she will be ready to roll against the Wildcats. Her absence appears to have been planned, and she is set to rejoin the team for practice on Tuesday.
“Grace and I knew going into the break that she was gonna come in late,” Mulkey said. “She needed to take care of some business, and I was in total support of that. She'll be here tomorrow and (be) ready to go on Tuesday.”
Knox was the highest-rated prospect in LSU's signing class, and has made an immediate impact. Mostly coming off the bench, the star freshman is averaging 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game while averaging just under 19 minutes per game. The last time she took the court with the Tigers, she was orchestrating a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double - the second of her young career.
Knox's impressive contributions have LSU among the deepest teams in the country. The Tigers lead the country averaging 108.0 points per game, and a total of 7 players are averaging double-digit points. Tip-off between the Tigers and Wildcats is set for 7:00 p.m. CT on Thursday.
