LSU NBA. 5. 529. . Maurice Taylor. player. . 1997-2007. LA Clippers, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings. Maurice Taylor

Maurice Taylor had a solid 10-year career playing with four teams. He was drafted by the Clippers in 1997 and made his NBA debut in October of that year. He played solid minutes in his first three years with the Clippers before heading to the Rockets. He averaged 25 minutes on the court for the Clippers scoring 10.5 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 1.3 assists per game.

When with the Rockets, Taylor had a good first year averaging 13 points per game, 1.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds. However, in his second season, he tore his Achilles and was out for the year. He played four more years with the Rockets before going to the Knicks.

With the Knicks, you could see Taylor's play declining as he was never quite the same after the Achilles injury. After two years with the Knicks, Taylor spent his last season with the Sacramento Kings before retiring. In his career, Taylor averages 11.0 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

Even thought Taylor's stats are as great as Simmons's, I gave Taylor the edge since he has finished his NBA career and Simmons is still active and his numbers could change.
