The Women's College Basketball Offseason is seemingly nearing it's end as nearly every roster is set for the 2024-25 season. Kim Mulkey has had a busy off-season as she's attempted to fully rebuild this team for yet another deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

Now with the rosters for every team seemingly set it's appropriate to start comparing rosters and breaking down who may be best suited for the upcoming season. Talia Goodman of ON3 HER released her initial top 25 and Tigers fans should be thrilled.

Despite several key losses this offseason with Angel Reese heading to the WNBA and Hailey Van Lith transferring to TCU the Tigers are ranked seventh in Goodman's initial rankings. The Tigers are the third ranked SEC school behind South Carolina and SEC newcomer Texas.

The Tigers return three massive pieces of the core in Flau'jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow, and Mikaylah Williams. However, the 2024-2025 LSU team will be led by tons of newcomers due to the roster turnover. Mulkey landed four high-caliber transfers in Jersey Wolfenbarger, Kailyn Gilbert, Shayeann Day-Wilson, and Mjracle Sheppard.

Not mentioned in why Goodman thanks the LSU Tigers will be so successful is highly touted incoming freshman Jada Richard the Louisiana State Player of the Year. Richard is a high-caliber scorer leading Lafayette Christian Academy to three straight state championships. If Richard is able to hit her stride early on at LSU, the Tigers will have a chance to outperform expectations.

The biggest concern for this team won't be talent as the roster is loaded but, team chemistry. The past few seasons the team has been a tight-knit group and with so many newcomers joining the team you hope that they can gel right away.
